Serotonin Lane is a short film about a man who does not have his life sorted. Faced with a difficult decision and unable to choose, he lights his lighter and enters "Serotonin Lane," a highway within the depths of his fractured mind. At the gateway, he experiences his thought process. On one side of the lane lies a roundabout, where a car drives in circles, symbolizing his inability to change and the cycle that will continue if he follows this path. On the other side lies a business park, with houses and symbols of change.
"My intention is to have the audience reflect on their own decisions and how they felt when making them, whether scared, nervous, or uncertain."
21st Century Day-Breakers is a series of short films filmed, edited, and directed by Jeremy Parisi. The series was an almost bi-monthly video journal that follows several groups of teenagers skating, bowling, shopping, and hanging out. Each video is edited in a style that pays homage to skate videos from the late 90s and early 2000s, such as CKY, Jackass, and Thrasher, as well as the experimental filmmaker Harmony Korine.
